Vivek Krishnamurthy is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Law School and Director of the .

Vivek’s research extends longstanding principles of international law to the governance of digital infrastructure. His forthcoming article in the argues that core internet infrastructure should be governed under the centuries-old legal regime that regulates navigation through international straits, such as the Strait of Hormuz.

Vivek has been appointed twice to the Government of Canada’s Expert Advisory Panel on Online Harms—first by and again by . In 2024, Governor Jared Polis appointed him to Colorado’s Artificial Intelligence Impact Task Force.

ÌýVivek is currently a Faculty Associate of the at Harvard University, an Associate Member of the at the University of Ottawa, and a Trustee of the .

Vivek was previously the Samuelson-Glushko Professor of Law at the , where he served as the director of . He is a Rhodes Scholar and clerked for the Hon. Morris J. Fish of the Supreme Court of Canada upon his graduation from Yale Law School.
