Since President John F. Kennedy established the Peace Corps in 1961, more than 240,000 Americans of all ages have served in over 160 countries worldwide.Ìý

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has been repeatedly recognized by the Peace Corps as one of the nation’s top volunteer-producing universities, earning No. 2 rankings among large colleges and universities in both May 2025 and April 2026, as well as a No. 4 ranking in .
In 2026, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ continues to rank No. 5 nationally, among the top 25 schools producing Peace Corps volunteers since its founding in 1961. In total, 2,653 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ alumni have served abroad through the Peace Corps.
