Departmental Honors
All chemistry majors on track to graduate with a GPA of 3.3 or higher are encouraged to pursue departmental honors. Through completing an honors thesis, students gain advanced skills in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.
Instructions for graduating with Latin honors can be found on the website.

Research Opportunities
Beyond Departmental Honors and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), chemistry students are encouraged to proactively find research opportunities by reaching out to faculty members and pursuing independent study.
Students should explore chemistry research areas and faculty profiles, then follow this to approach potential advisors.

Teaching Assistants
After completing at least one of CU's General Chemistry courses, students are eligible for the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Program. The paid training program runs during Summer Term A (June 5th - July 7th).
Interested students should contact Dr. Matt Wise (wiseme@colorado.edu) for more information.
